Our Program
Horizons Tutors Many Subjects and Grade Levels, Specifically:
Elementary: science, math, reading, writing, and social studies
Middle School: most levels of science, math (6,7 only), English, reading, writing, Texas history, world history, and TAKS test prep. (Grades 3-7 only)
High School, College, Adult: English, writing, social studies/history,
A Chronological Time Line of Our Program:
1. Contact Horizons Tutoring2. We set up an agreed upon time for an in-home consultation to discuss your needs and meet each other.
3. We agree upon a program for the maximum benefit of your child. The sooner we get started on academic difficulties, the sooner your child can overcome them and get back on the correct educational path.
4. You purchase hours to get started.
5. We set up your first session.
6. All tutoring is done by the company's owner, a teacher with 27 years of experience. You will not be tutored by an unqualified tutor. Success will be incremental and consequential.
Session Prices
You can sign up for as little as 1 hour, or for as many hours as you like. We charge $40 per tutoring hour. We accept cash, checks, MasterCard or Visa. There is no minimum number of hours to purchase and only a small $25 consultation/ registration fee to pay. This includes diagnostic testing in reading or math. Before any tutoring session can begin, you must have purchased hours to cover that session. Because meaningful change takes time, we recommend purchasing at least 4 hours.
